**It's The BBHQ 10 Year Blogoversary!**

Epic Monday Greetings Pawesome Pals 

Welcome to another week at BBHQ and a furry special post.

It is exactly ten years ago today that we published our very first post from BBHQ, and although the original post was changed in 2019 and updated, the fact remains that it was the start of our cat blogging journey. And in that time we have written over 2000 posts, 2059 to be exact and that's a lot of words for a bunch of heathen cats to write.

Who knew that we'd still be writing the blog after ten years, and averaging 200 posts per year, that's a new post every 1.825 days, wow, that's some dedication!

And along the way, we've met the best peeps and cats mew could ever wish to meet in a lifetime, so not only is this a celebration of our milestone achievement, but it's also a celebration of friendship within the pet blogging community because without that community and all our wonderful epically epic readers, visitors and furiends we wouldn't have made it this far. So in essence without mew, we wouldn't be here, so thank mew furry much for your continued support and loyalty.

When the blog originally started it was just me, Basil, but then everypawdy else wanted a turn and it soon became a furmily affair.

Here is the exact text from my very first post at 20:17pm on the 27th of June 2012:

Greetings, salutations and many purrs to all my wonderful furriends in Cyberspace!

It's marvellous that my human aka Cathrine Garnell has finally given in to my constant pestering and made me my very own blog. I know that I have my own Website, FaceBook Page, MySpace Page and a myriad of other things going off, but I felt left out without having my very own blog.

And here's a little tidbit that I bet mew didn't know, I didn't actually get my own purrsonal log in until the 23rd of May 2013, after the P.A. decided that I was dedicated enough to warrant one.

Sadly the P.A. hasn't written anything since her accident in 2019 when our Mogwarts Adventure should have been serialised. She feels really guilty she hasn't been able to share anything new for so long, but maybe this is the kick up the backside she needs to make it happen.

We used to make a lot of collages for our Sunday Selfies posts.

Just trying to get new photos of The B Team each week was a job in itself! MOL

And to finish today's little celebration here's a new furmily pawtrait of all The B Team in our secret bunker at BBHQ.

Just seeing us all in the bunker is rather inspirational and makes us want to go on an adventure! 

Thanks for joining us on a trip down memory lane and we hope mew liked seeing some of the older images today.  And we can't believe how much fun stuff we saw, it's been a real treat and reminds us why we do what we do at BBHQ! MOL

Just a quick note to say our longstanding Google Feedburner Subscription service has ended, so if mew previously subscribed by email to be notified of news posts, mew won't be notified by Feedburner anymore.

DON'T PANIC!

We have set up a new subscription service via www.follow.it and mew can see the new sign up box in the righthand sidebar under our shop banner, or mew can click here to sign up and never miss another post!  

We have hopefully migrated all our existing subscribers across, but if mew no longer want to receive email post notifications from us, mew can opt-out easily enough, though we will be sorry to see mew go if that's what mew decide.

Or if mew didn't receive an email this morning or yesterday from the new service, this means that we royally fluffed up and could mew purrlease sign up again, using the box in the sidebar or the link above. And many apologies for the service interruption!

Our second announcement today is a lot more fun.

EPICALLY EPIC NEWS

Finally, after many eons our new Etsy store is open today, yep, it's just opened minutes ago.  

It's called 

The Kwerky Kat Boutique

And just so mew know mew're in the right place, here's what it looks like:

Everything is handcrafted by the P.A. and most items are one of a kind, so mew can be epically excited in the knowledge that what mew have is as fantastic and as unique as mew.  The pom pom Snuggle Mats do have matching Katnip Kickers and Kushions too made with extra primo organic nip, so mew can get nipped out in style. Catnip-phoria here we come!

There are oodles of designs, although we've only loaded a few up to start with, plus we have lots more exciting products waiting in the wings to appear in the coming weeks and months. The P.A. has been working supurr hard, and we've been extremely busy with purroduct testing and quality control, in fact, our poor paws are almost wurked to the bone. But we do get to have a pawty every day in the sewing studio, which has something to do with a huge box of catnip - nuff said! MOL

The P.A. feels quite proud of her little shop and hopes that the lovely things that she's adored making will bring oodles of joy and happies to many kitties. At the moment we can only ship within the U.K. as when we applied for insurance they wanted to know the estimated sales figures for around the world. Talk about 'how long is a piece of string' or 'how many stars are in the universe' - DUH! - it was a totally unquantifiable question when the shop isn't even open; how the fluff do we know what any sales purrjections are? In fact, we don't even know if anyone will buy anything in the U.K. for that matter. 

Anyhoo, many concatulations to the P.A. on all the gorgeous kwerky items, and mew know we love all the things she's made for us as mew have seen lots of things here on the blog over the years, what we're saying is catisfaction is purretty much guaranteed!

Many apologies for missing our usual Sunday Selfies and Mandala's on Monday yesterday; mew may remember on Caturday when Amber posted her latest book review that we mentioned we were running behind schedule, well things got wurse as when we tried to write Sunday's post on Caturday teatime the broadband connection was nowhere to be found, and it was missing all day Sunday too, in fact, we only got the PC back online on Monday afternoon, so we were going to do the posts, and then we saw the reminder about Dr Seuss Day and thought we'd just jump in there instead. Sorry guys, mew'll have to print off one of the existing mandala's if mew need to do some colouring, and for those who need to do a few breathing exercises, just find Smooch on any of the older Colouring with Cats posts to join in and get your Zen Harmonies happening.
