The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up **SNOWMAGGEDON STILL LOOMING BUT NOT HERE - Allegedly** ~ Lost and Found with Fudge, Pandora Filed A Complaint, and Parsley's Afternoon Snack Time ~ **PLUS** Melvyn's Modelling

Whimsical digital collage titled “Midweek News Round Up with The B Team ©BionicBasil®.” Ten cats with varied fur patterns sit in a row at the bottom, each with distinct expressions. Behind them are illustrated elements including newspapers, trees, and a frosty blue sky adorned with bunting flags, evoking a winter garden theme. A speech bubble in the top right corner says, “WHAT’S THE GOSSIP THIS WEEK?” adding a playful, newsy vibe to the scene.

Pawesome Greetings Furbulous Furiends

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Well, Snowmaggedon didn't happen... yet... but it's still being threatened; however, we do have another rather squally storm occurring as we type. It's cold, raining, and windy... the trifecta of outdoor misery!  And no, we have not been outside! MOL

And OMC, we are nearly in February, can mew believe it?

And funnily enough, we saw these two doves in one of the trees at BBHQ today. They look like lovebirds! MOL

We had to enlarge the photo, so apologies, it's blurry!

Two Eurasian collared doves perch closely together on a bare tree branch at BBHQ, surrounded by a tangle of leafless twigs and trunks. Their soft grey plumage and black neck markings stand out against the muted winter backdrop, evoking a quiet moment of companionship in the garden. www.bionicbasil.com

Anyhoo, here's what's been happening at BBHQ this week.

Small animals like rabbits nestle among the foliage, while a bird perches in the center foreground. The scene is rich in texture and color, set against a soft, natural background, creating a peaceful and enchanting garden atmosphere—ideal as a decorative post divider for nature-themed or whimsical content.

First up in the news

Lost and Found with Fudge

Fudge, a fluffy orange cat with a grand bushy tail, leans forward on a carpeted floor, head lowered in curious investigation. His body faces away from the camera, drawing attention to the expressive sweep of his tail. A glossy white cabinet stands in the background, and the low-angle view emphasizes the texture of the carpet and the quiet intensity of Fudge’s feline focus. at www.bionicbasil.com

Fudge lost his mouse, found it again, lost it again, then couldn't see it hiding under his ginormous tail.

He did find it... eventually! MOL

Pandora Filed A Complaint

Pandora, a long-haired cat, sits quietly on a textured white rug in front of a brick fireplace, her back to the camera as she gazes toward the closed fireplace door. The cozy indoor scene includes a set of fireplace tools on the right and scattered hearth items on the left, evoking a sense of warmth and quiet contemplation. at www.bionicbasil.com

Pandora was hissed off because of the colder weather, and there was no fire in the sitting room. Here she's about to light it with her mind! MOL

In other news...

Parsley's Afternoon Snack Time

Parsley, a sleek black cat, eats from a bowl nestled on the bottom shelf of a rustic white console table. Above him, decorative items like a potted plant, crystals, and a framed sign reading “When it Rains look for RAINBOWS” add charm to the cozy scene. A water dispenser and container of dry food sit nearby, while a white bench with black cushions and a woven rug complete the warm, pet-friendly space. www.bionicbasil.com

Parsley was enjoying a mid-afternoon snack...

He did ask for a new menu. So the P.A. got out the new Whiskas kibble with tasty pockets of yumminess.

This week's catwalk was a little chaotic. Melvyn had other things on his mind!  W.D.G. is still nowhere to be found. However, we did receive a mystery postcard from the Caribbean. So maybe W.D.G. is enjoying a bit of sunshine; lucky him! MOL

  1. I do hope if you get snow, it's only a small portion. Snowmageddon sounds like it will interrupt life way too much.

The pictures are fun and funny this week, and Melvyn, thanks for the smiles over your modeling session.

  2. There was snow and icemageddon in a large portion of the USA...hope that won't happen to you.
    Melvyn you made me giggle!!

  3. We haven't had snow either, but we have had relentless rain and gales with the weather system circling over the SW for most of January. I wish the jet stream would move and give the horrible weather a nudge away from us.
As always Melvyn is doing a good job of modelling, even though a bit distracted. It is not good enough that the fire is not lit, Pandora! Fun photos from all of you.

  4. Our snow is more than 20 inches and this morn our temp is -23 C. So we enjoy seeing you all have a bit of calm for now. Hope you have not had flooding there. Melvyn you always model a great bandana. Hope you get model's wages.

  5. Those doves are so adorable!
While we don't have as much snow in Southeastern Michigan as the Upper Peninsula, we have enough that many of my garden statues are snowed under.
And we have this polar vortex/Alberta Clipper event that will hang on us for many days.
But, I'm still walking up to the library, even if I cannot walk in my 'hood as usual; my face will freeze off, or I'll slip...no, that wouldn't be pretty.
    Ha! Stay warm, y'all.
