This time we're making some pawesome

Crafting With Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs with Blossom and Melvyn

The only kind of Easter Eggs mew'll want this Sunday! MOL

What Mew Will Need:

Cotton Fabric, we used a selection of fat quarters in different prints

lining fabric [optional]

needle, thread ~ optional sewing machine

scissors

stuffing/wadding

a great big pile of catnip

Optional Bunny ~ Blossom was today's Craft Room Snoopervisor

Let's Get Started

Crafting with Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs Steps 1 - 4
1.  We're making six eggs, and here are our fabric choices fur 4 of our eggs.

2. And here's our fabric choice for the last two.

3. Cut out your egg shapes - ours are approx 7" tall by 5" at the widest part prior to sewing.

4.  Check with an optional bunny to make sure they meet FULL BUNNY approval.

Crafting with Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs Steps 5 - 8
5. Cut out the lining fabric and place either side of your patterned fabric.

6. Pin eggs together ready for sewing [right sides together].

7. Sew, either by hand or machine, leaving a gap for the stuffing at the bottom.

8. Your egg/s should now look something like this.

Crafting with Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs Steps 9 -12
9. Turn the fabric right sides out and get FULL BUNNY approval before continuing.

10. This is one side of our eggs.

11. This is the other side.

12. Now stuff with primo catnip - we used our homegrown, organic primo nip in our eggs.  And used a ratio of 1/4 stuffing/wadding to 3/4 catnip to fill them - that way the eggs are springy but are really stuffed to the brim with the primo stuff making sure they're extra fragrant and delicious, as nopurrdy wants a BAD EGG! MOL

Crafting with Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs Steps 13 -14
13. Once your eggs are fully stuffed, hand sew the fabric opening together.

14. Now mew should have something that looks like this, with FULL BUNNY approval.

Now we're at the critical stage of testing, so what did Smooch think?
Crafting With Cats Easter Special ©BionicBasil® Catnip Easter Eggs with Smooch - The Big Test
As mew can see there was no stopping him, the eggs were amazing and Smooch said, "Dudes these Easter Eggs are eggstraspecially nip'a'licious!" MOL

In fact, the P.A. had to remove him from the room as he went a little wild and refused to share with anypawdy else, I think that's because the P.A. used a special combo of Catnip and Catmint that we affectionately refer to as Psychedelic Puma Blend - OOPS - so maybe not for newbies like young Melvyn

So there mew have it, straight from Smooch; catnip eggs are the best, make some, get some, try some this Easter and don't miss out on the fun! MOL

And that pawesome furiends furry sadly brings us to the end of today's Crafting with Cats rerun, we do hope mew liked it, and we look forward to sharing more crafting exploits from BBHQ in the future!

We'll be back with more fun Easter crafts on Tuesday and do hope mew can join us then. In the meantime, we're back tomorrow with our usual Sunday Selfies post.

What's In The Box on BBHQ Spotlight Review Featuring Kitty Kick Stix with The B Team

Welcome to

What's In The Box on BBHQ Spotlight Review @BionicBasil®

Wunderpurr greetings fabulous furriends

And welcome to the weekend

Today we're sharing one of our *sponsored posts with mew from the fabulous peeps at...

... who contacted us a couple of weeks ago and asked if we'd like to try some of their Kitty Kick Stix!

OMC, of course we would!

What's in the Box:

We knew there was something incredible hiding out in the tissue paper, as we could smell it from 30 paces! MOL

Kitty Kick Stix Review @BionicBasil® What's In The Box

Each Kitty Kick Stix™ Cat Toy is packed with 100% Natural Catnip & Handmade in the USA.

Kitty Kick Stix Review @BionicBasil® What's In The Box - 3 Kitty Stix

Aren't they tremendous?

Playtime:

Now came the ultimate test, watch on to see how much we enjoyed Kitty Stix...

If fur some reason the video doesn't play purrlease click here to go watch it direct on youtube [as it's scheduled to go live at 12.15 am - 15 minutes before the post goes live, though last time we did this there was a technical hitch and it wouldn't play fur some reason].

Melvyn is just a little thug [see his Bio here #thuglife] so we only let him loose on the smaller one and as mew just saw he loved it, he really had a good time, and Smooch just wanted to lick the black one to death; as he only has 3 legs he can't play with it like a normal kitty so that's how he plays with toys, if he's licking and hugging it, it's a winner!

Fudge and Sauce really enjoyed them too and at the moment they are all drying out because of oodles of cat slobber - we were going to give one away but immediately aftur unwrapping the P.A. got distracted by a delivery and left us alone with them and when she came back all of the Kitty Stix had been seriously violated so we don't think anyone wants slobbered on Kitty Kick Stix - OOPS sorry about that!

Closing thoughts:

So what did we think to these kitty kickers? We thought they were pawesome on an epically epic scale.

The fabrics used are tough and durable with the most gorgeous prints on.  They are stuffed to the brim so firm and solid, and the catnip used is of the primo, mucho mega variety, so most potent and we all agreed it was a most epic experience which we would heartily recommend without hesitation to any kitty looking for a good time.

We think these toys are excellent fun and are a fabulous addition to your toy box, as we know that feline enrichment toys are a must in any kitty household and these would compliment your existing toy stash purrfectly.

They also have lots of different designs, including Fish Stix and Wedges, plus mew can buy extra nip and nip spray to refresh your Kitty Stix as and when mew need to.

Kitty Kick Stix Review @BionicBasil® What's In The Box - Melvyn

In Conclusion:

The Cats from The B Team Say YES to Kitty Kick Stix!

10/10

We would like to say a special thanks to the pawesome peeps at Kitty Kick Stix fur giving us the oppurrtunity to play with Kitty Stix toys ~ THANK MEW FURRY MUCH!
