Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
This week, the weather has been a mix of rain, wind, rain, a brief sunspot and rain. In other words, a typical UK summer! MOL
So let's look at some lovely sunny, scenic views in gorgeous Scotland.
This magical place is called Kinloch Hourn on Loch Beag, with the Hourn pronounced Horn, apparently.
To reach this amazing place is quite the journey; 22 miles along a very narrow, single-track lane that makes the Mewton Clawson single-track lane look pawsitively like a motorway! MOL
If mew'd like to see the single-track route, click here to visit Google Maps.
The journey is a supurr twisty, turny, uphill, down dale, hairpin bends, and blind summits with breathtaking scenery. It says on the map that it takes approx 48 minutes. It took much longer as it's quite popular with cyclists, hikers and tourists, so there's quite a bit of traffic, but luckily there are lots of little pull-ins and lay-bys along the route, so vehicles can pass safely.
The following photos were taken right at the end of the track overlooking Loch Beag, where we had beautiful weather while having another picnic.
And then the P.A. had to rescue a Highland Cow who'd got stuck on a gate!
MOL!
Meet Hermantrude the Highland, he was purrchased in Fort Augustus and is now residing very comfortably at BBHQ, although Fudge is a little put out as he's not the only ginger any more! MOL
If mew'd like to see more photos of Scotland let us know in the comments.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Three In and One Out
It was raining the other day (for a change), so the P.A. had to move the cushions from under the gazebo, and Parsley decided he wanted to go outside.
He stayed outside while Fudge, Melvyn and Pandora were in the sitting room looking at him and thinking, what the fluff, dude, it's wet out there, mew maniac!
Smooch and Amber had the right idea, they were still in bed! MOL
Next up in the news
Fudge's Floof Explosion
Fudge had an uncontrolled floof explosion in the catservatory the other day.
What can mew say to that???? MOL
Finally this week
Smooch loves laying half upside down against the wardrobes, just look at the happiness radiating off him!
EXTRA, EXTRA!
Check out this week's sunspot of the week
Melvyn's Evening Sunspot
Melvyn found the biggest sunspot of the week! MOL
Pandora's Millwheel Sunspot
Pandora found a warm perch here.
Parsley's Compost Bin Sunspot
Parsley found a warm spot on the paver in front of the compost bins! MOL
Who do mew think had the best spot this week?
That's us done for today, Amber's book review will be on Saturday this week, as Fudge's Birthday Pawty is on Friday, and he'd love it if mew all came to celebrate with him. Also, if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:

ReplyDeleteThe photos of Scotland are amazing, I'd love to see more, and if Hermantrude is in them, so much the better, lol.
ReplyDeleteStaying in bed is the best bet when it's raining.
That was quite a floof explosion, I wonder what brought it on, but maybe I don't want to know.
As nice as the others are, Melvyn's evening sunspot with the long shadow tickles me pink.
If you send the coordinates to my cat's tunnel, I'm sure they'd love to come to your party.
We love Melvyn's big shadow sunspot photo. And that place is epic, mew guys!

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big hug to you and scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Those photos are beautiful, and of course I would like to see more! We have had lovely sunny weather the last few days and it is supposed to continue. We actually reached 20 degrees!!
ReplyDeleteFudge's floof explosion made me laugh.
Really enjoyed seeing the garden spots and the kitties soaking in the sun there, and all the kitties indoors, too. Fabulous pics of Scotland, and we'd love to see more. My late Mom said some of our ancestors came from there.
ReplyDeleteFudge, that tail is most impressive. I guess he was upset about the new Highlander. I am enjoying the photos of your trip. XO
