The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ~ Who's Hogging The Fire? Parsley's Dilemma, and Fudge Catnapping in The Catservatory ~ **PLUS** Today's Really Random Photo

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

We'll start with the weather report. It was pretty nice until Friday lunchtime, then the wind appeared with great force and decided it was going to be a real nuisance until Sunday morning. A tree did come down at work, luckily in the back compound, so Cat Dat will be getting the chainsaw out, and we'll get some new logs! MOL 

On Monday, it was 20 degrees Celsius, which was really lovely, and a lot of gardening was done, as the P.A. is still on her quest to empty all the terracotta pots out and put all the different plants in the garden borders, as she's over having to water everything all summer, as it takes hours. Finally, yesterday, it was just a dull, overcast vibe, but it didn't rain, so that was nice for our garden pawtrols!

Here's this week's flower offering, another supurr epic dahlia. We featured another bloom a few weeks back, but this plant is too good not to share again.

What a lovely moon it's been for the last few nights. This was taken on Monday evening.

And quickly, before we forget:

Last week, the pawesome Tabbies of Trout Towne asked what the orange flower was that we shared here.

It was a dahlia, just a simple bloom, not a fancy vareity like the pink flower above. 

They are very easy to grow. We say this because, over the years, in the BBHQ garden, we have tried many different plants, ones that apparently were 'easy grow' - they all died. So, if dahlias can thrive in our garden, they are pretty rugged, and one of our main plant species for the summer. They come in so many colours and varieties, it's like a paint explosion! MOL

First up in the news

Who's Hogging The Fire?

We had the first fire of the season on Sunday afternoon, and look who was hogging the front row.

Pandora didn't mind as she said in her odd, little foreign accent, and I quote, "I don't need the front row, because my fur coat is exceptional!"

Well, mew can't argue with that, even at minus ten Celsius, our epic little sasquatch would still be warm! MOL

Next up in the news

 Parsley's Dilemma

Parsley was torn; should he go upstairs to snooze, or stay downstairs to sleep?

Yep, it was a pivotal, almost a 'sliding doors' moment. And we can tell mew where he went, he decided that upstairs was the place to snooze! 

Finally this week

Fudge Catnapping in The Catservatory

No fluffs were given by Fudge yesterday, as he catnapped in the catservatory!

That's a level of enlightenment that takes years to achieve.

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy October 1st and welcome to Spooky Season, muwahahahahahahaaaa! MOL

First, let's take a look at the weather report; it's been dry and sunny with cooler temperatures over the last few days. Nothing out of the ordinary, just pleasant for this time of year. Though next week sometime we're being threatened with the 'first' storm of the season, which, if we're honest, we'd like it to fluff right off and miss BBHQ! MOL

There's only one new flower in the garden this week, so here's a petal'a'licious offering in orange.

What a gorgeous shade of orange, and if mew'd like to see last week's blooming marvellous display, click here, as it was quite spectacular.

Also, mew may have noticed that we've moved into our autumn era with the new header and graphics, and later in the month, we'll be changing that again for our Halloween week, jumpin' juniper berries, we can't wait!

Melvyn was in a posing mood the other day on top of the cat tree in the BBHQ office.

Pandora Enjoying Watching The Birds from her Purrch under the Gazebo

Pandora was lurking with intent under the gazebo, watching all the little birds at the feeders on the opposite side of the garden.

And no, she's not interested in eating them. 

We think she's gauging how fast they are, so she can compare her supurr swiftness (she's very quick), next to feathered fastness.

We haven't seen the report yet, but if we had to guess, her nitrous acceleration would win! MOL

Finally this week

Fudge's In The Kitchen

Fudge was in the kitchen, wondering where the staff was, aka the P.A., to serve him with his new favourite treats.

He said, and I quote, "Fluff the photo op, just give me the snacks!"

Oh gosh, this is a complete rarity, Amber outside, and the sun wasn't even shining that day! MOL

Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

Happy Wednesday, floofers, we hope mew've had a great week, ours has been fair to middling, but let's start with the weather report!

It's remained nice and cool for the most part, in the early 20s Celsius, and there's been a couple of showers, although not really enough to do any good. But at least it's not baking like it was earlier in the month, and we're supurr thankful for that.

The P.A. discovered that some rather hungry caterpillars have found her vegetable garden and are taking a serious liking to the purple broccoli and cabbage... Needless to say, Smooch offered his services and promptly disappeared into the bunker to get the bazooka. Yep, this is really a thing... follow the link, scroll to Chapter Two - the first line. As the garden is a crispy as a snowflake in Hades, we're sharing a couple of throwback garden pics, when things were a little more colourful instead of brown.

This was the gorgeous Raspberry Ripple Rose from last August. We actually bought two other colourways, but so far this year, nothing.

Aren't they pretty! Shame they've all retreated into the soil to save themselves!

Finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

This week, Melvyn is modelling the last bandana of July. 

Well, he's actually modelling both from last week, as this is his last modelling assignment for the summer, as Amber has another job for him. (See Mews Flash below).

He really enjoyed modelling the Cactus Crazee bandana.
