What a scorchio few days. It's been so hot that not a lot has been really happening at BBHQ other than staying indoors and keeping cool, and we've been working on our latest craft project, which will be revealed later this week.
If mew can email us your snail mail address at your earliest convenience, that would be epic.

Thank mew to everypawdy else who entered, and don't wurry if mew didn't win this time; there'll be another giveaway soon, as it's Parsley's birthday next on August 31st so stay tuned.
*And just in case mew're wondering how we pick the winner, we type the full list of names from the blog post and Instagram post, then paste them into the random name picker at www.miniwebtool.com, and it automatically picks the winner.

Jumping Juniperberries it's Fluffing Scorchio
Smooch escaped from the back door on Monday lunchtime, and the P.A. finally caught him on the bench by the lawn.
He said, "Jumping Juniperberries it's fluffing scorchio. Any chance mew could carry me back indoors?"
The P.A. promptly snaffled him in her arms and hurried back inside, where he spent the afternoon in front of the fan, having his fur ruffled by a gentle breeze.
Finally this week
The Garden Has Dried Up
Fudge was outside later on Monday evening when it was a litter cooler and was really sad to see that all the plants and flowers look really sad.
The lawn is like a scorched tinder box; even some trees are dropping their leaves to survive.
Here's hoping it cools down as the week progresses and we start to get a few rain showers, although huge rainstorms with copious amounts of water can fluff off, as that kind of rainfall will flood everything. And we don't need any of that drama.
And finally, before we go, we'd just like to say a huge congratulations to all the Certificate of Excellence winners from the Cat Writer's Association!!!
That's us done for today. We'll be back tomorrow with this year's Crafting for Your Shelters post, and Amber will beback on Caturdaywith a surprise book review. And if mew missed Monday's post, click here to catch up on The Complete Guide to Growing Catnip.

Yep, it's all been happening this week, and the P.A. even managed to start scraping the peeling paint off our Time Travelling Telephone Box, and she says it's looking a little bit rough right now, but hopefully, it'll start to look a bit better when the grey undercoat goes on before the new red is applied.
In fact, he's thinking of starting a cleaning company just for cats called
Epically Epic Kleaning Services or E.E.K.S. for short! MOL
Finally this week
The Terrible Trio Are Up To Something!
Yesterday these three nefarious characters were definitely up to something. Just look how suspicious they're acting in the courtyard.
Earlier in the day, the P.A. witnessed firsthand, the Phantom Widdler aka Smooch, widdling all over the catnip plant pot in the courtyard. YES, the very same one he's been guarding for weeks.
He had his pee-pee fully unholstered and appeared to be writing his name on said pot. The P.A. casually asked, "What the fluff dude?"
To which Smooch replied, "That newfluffing black cat with the hairy tail keeps coming in the courtyard, so I'm just writing my name on the catnip pot, so he knows it's off fluffing limits!"
At that point, the P.A. decided to just keep on walking by!
If mew can email us your snail mail address at your earliest convenience, that would be epic.

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!
The hedgehogs have been busy bipping around the garden at BBHQ this week; Scooter, Wriggles and Snuffles have been visiting every night, although we have missed Prickles, but they do bip in and out at different times, so if we've been in the upstairs lounge and Prickles ambled along, we could've easily missed him/her visiting. The younger ones seem to arrive together or not long after each other.
Scooter, the smallest one likes to eat and then he'll go and get huddled up against the basket, mew'll see in the video. Then he'll go and get some more snacks and then return for another huddle in the same spot. We've been keeping an eye on him, but he seems fine.
They don't seem bothered by our presence or by us videoing them at all. In fact, last night Wriggles sat a few inches away from the P.A.'s foot while she talked to him/her.
There's also another Hedgehog which appeared one night last week that we haven't seen before, and Snuffles wasn't pleased as there was a bit of a kerfuffle, sadly we didn't have the phone so didn't get any footage, though we will keep an eye out to see if the new one appears again.
Next up in the news. Dad and the P.A. went on a little shopping excursion on Caturday to our local B&M store, and while the P.A. was meandering along the Pet Food Aisle she spied some new things, catnip and valerian cushions, so she got one of each for us to try and a new feather wand toy for Melvyn which we'll share next time.
We think the cushions were hit, and next time we'll show mew the video where; catnip cushions cause a disturbance to the peace, just ask Smooch. #ohdear
Haunted Happenings at BBHQ
And finally this week, if mew remember on the Friday Fill-ins when the P.A. mentioned her missing earring?
So if mew've caught up on the story so far, the P.A. will continue...
Hello lovely readers, and I'm going to share my theory of the missing earring which I will say is a bit far out and probably completely absurd, but do bear with me while I explain.
The barn conversion which we live in is over 200 years old, it's apparently even older than the church in our little village and was even built before the farm house next door which my uncle purchased in 1983 along with the derelict barn (our home) and a few acres of land. My uncle converted the barn in 1986 and I moved in in 1999.
So when I moved in and started to do a bit of decorating and stuff, strange things began to happen. I noticed that unexplained phenomena only occurred when I was changing stuff, and at the time the earring vanished I'd been remodelling the laundry.
Anyhoo, what I think happened to the earring is this, it was teleported or spirited away to the old farm house next door. I know it sounds really bizarre but I've had items that don't belong to me appear in my house.
For example one Saturday morning a kids purple Porsche dinky toy appeared out of nowhere on the chest of drawers in the middle bedroom. We don't have kids, it was not an item I'd ever seen before and it just appeared, materialised overnight as it definitely wasn't there the evening before and no one else had been in the house.
The people who live in the farmhouse had three boys, their dad drove a Porsche and that is my only rational explanation, well as rational as one can be with strange occurrences. And before you ask, I don't ever see the neighbours, and therefore never got to ask if it belonged to them.
My earring never came back, but I suspect it's next door at the Snail Slingers (that's another story). And the purple car did vanish again at some point, so who knows where it is now???
There's also been actual poltergeist activity happen too, and let me know in the comments if you want to hear about that, as we had to get the house blessed.
That's us done for today, Amber will beback on Fridaywith another pawesome book just for mew, and if mew missed Monday's Colouring with Cats and would like to know a little more about the lovely green malachite stone, go check it out and there's a gorgeous mandala to colour too.

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!
Guys, mew remember on last weeks post when we showed mew the video of the hedgehogs, and there were three? Well mew could have dipped me in treacle and rolled me in catnip when a fourth one appeared, that's how surprised I was!
And Hedgling #4 was the same size as Wriggles, and we asked what should we call him/her?
There's were oodles of great suggestions, and we've decided to call him/her Scooter.
Dad has altered the settings on the P.A's iPhone so hopefully next time the video quality will be a bit better!
Okies, next up let's announce the winner of Amber & Pandora's Halloween Birthday Pawty, so are mew ready for the big announcement? OF COURSE MEW ARE! MOL DRUM ROLL PURRLEASE...
And finally in the news this week, why was Melvyn looking so guilty in last weeks photo?
HMMMMMMMM, let's tell mew, no better still let's show mew exactly what had happened.
"It was an accident!" he said. "I didn't even want any catnip!"
YEAH RIGHT MELVYN! MOL
Sneaky Catnip addict!
That's us done for today, Amber will beback on Fridaywith another fab book just for mew, and if mew missed Monday's post, we have a really fun non-crystal on our latest Colouring with Cats.
