Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
We've had a few nice days of sunny weather again, although it did turn cooler on Monday. But we can't complain all things considered.
Remember last week, when we mentioned the hot pink and white lupin? We noticed that it hadn't bloomed, well we have epic news, it ambushed us late last week, and here it is.
It really is purretty!
And here are this week's best blooms as chosen by Parsley - see our second news story below!
This week's selection consists of, in a clockwise direction starting at the top left corner:
Hot Pink and White Lupin
Pink Rose
White Snapdrogan
Purple Sage
White Foxglove
Yellow Rose
Pink and White Pelargonium
Pink Zinnia
Pale Pink Foxglove
We've also been working on a new garden, though we're not sure if we mentioned it before. It's down the side of the house, it's a long narrow strip of nothingness (it was quite grim, so much so that the P.A. has never taken a photo of it), and the P.A. has been at a loss for what to do with it for the last 23 years (MOL), so late last year after a lot of standing in the space and summoning any creative spirits who would listen for inspiration, she decided it might be a good idea to turn it into a small veggie garden with narrow raised beds.
Anyhoo, on Caturday Dad built two raised beds with a cloche top on, and the P.A. built two garden arches to grow the runner beans up. And yes, the runner beans have just broken through the soil and are getting ready to bolt, although they will have their tops pinched out when the second set of leaves appear this week.
The raised beds need painting - yep another painting job - before anything is planted. But the good news is that a redundant/dead space is now being repurposed and will hopefully look quite lovely by the end of the summer, so we'll share a few pictures. We'll take one now, so mew can see it under construction and share it next week.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Amber's Sunny Afternoon in The Catservatory
Amber was sulking in the catservatory on Sunday as the P.A. had tried to wipe her eyes again and she threw a bit (a lot) of a hissy fit, OOPS! MOL
And we have some lovely eye wipes for this job, yet she's completely non-compliant.
Next up in the news
Parsley's Mini Garden Safari
Parsley was in the garden on Sunday morning enjoying a mini garden safari as the P.A. took the photos for this week's flower collage - above - in fact it was all his idea and he chose which flowers he wanted to share with mew today. He's such a little gardening aficionado! MOL
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
The Bee Fabulous bandana won with a majority vote last week, and it was our favourite too!
We think this really looks fabulous on Melvyn, what do mew think?
Check out Melvyn strutting his stuff, plus Pandora and Fudge crash this week's catwalk run! MOL
Watch it unfold here:
Which one should he model next?
Here's the brand new bandana selection for June.
The options from the top left in a clockwise direction:

2. Purrtastic Peach Blossom
3. Bee Fabulous
4. Fairy Magic
Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments!
EXTRA, EXTRA!
An Epic Throwback To 2018
Do mew remember Ramsbottom?
Amber reviewed a book about a cat who herded sheep and we thought we'd give it a go! MOL
That's us done for today, we will be here tomorrow with another Quick Cat Guide, and Amber will be back on Friday with another fab book just for mew, plus if mew missed any other posts, here are the links, as mew can see we've had a really busy week:
