It's been a lovely week at BBHQ, and last week, Lynn asked if we could share some more flower pictures, so today we're sharing the beautiful tulips we planted last October.
And here they are in all their utter magnificence!
We love the frilled petals and the gorgeous shades of pink. We've been waiting for them to bloom as we couldn't remember what colours they were, and needless to say, we weren't disappointed at these colourful displays.
We had forty-eight lavender plants delivered last week. They are plug plants, so the size of a thumb, and the P.A. will be potting those on this week, as she's finally decided to do a new border out on the drive, as it's a little drab outside the gate. There are twenty-four Hidcote and twenty-four Munstead plants, so once they're big enough the new project will commence. Although, we aren't sure how fast these tiny plants will grow so it might not be until next year that they go in, but we will keep mew posted on progress in one of our upcoming Gardening with Cats posts.
And mew may have noticed that our new May header is on the blog, with new graphics to match. We wanted a more vibrant vibe for this month.
Also don't forget that we're all still pawtying in the Nip Nirvana Lounge celebrating Smooch's 12th birthday, and if mew haven't entered his epic giveaway, here's the link:
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.

Fudge, that's a tough choice. I love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe love your beautiful tulips, and we bet the lavender plants will smell divine!
ReplyDeleteGreat welcoming, mew guys, and Fudge ... decisions, decisions. Right? MOL
How about the Prickly Catcus next, Melvyn?
Your tulips are gorgeous!! Very unique!
ReplyDeleteThat was a super bandana, Melvyn. I think the cactus one is good...but maybe it should go to Smooch....since he's the Cacticat!
Your tulips are lovely, and I like the frilly ones too. You look very handsome in that bandana, Melvyn. That is a welcoming committee to be proud of.
ReplyDeleteOh my, so much going on at your home. Happy Birthday Smooch. Precious will be 12 this Fall. And Fudge, my Peepers loved to jump on the mantle too. She broke a very dear blown glass Iris, but I forgave her instantly. And the tulips! Here they are once again just deer food. Maybe I should plant a few in a pot for the patio. They could just bloom before the deer prance up on it. And won't the smell of lavender be delightful. Precious might enjoy a sniff of it, if she ever wakes up, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think I've sang happy birthday to Smooch several times. Good for me. I sing terribly though.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful flowers. Wow.
I pick #4 for next week.

ReplyDeleteFudge, this is why Da Boyz aren't allowed upstairs; they'd tear the house down!
Love the colorful header and the tulip pictures too! That is one snazzy bandana on Melvyn! Caticorn looks good to us for next time!
