Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Apologies for being late this week with the news, only it was Smooch's 13th Birthday Pawty yesterday, and Smooch comes first! MOL
The weather has been a real mixed bag over the last week. It was really cold, windy, and rainy, and then on Tuesday, we had a lovely day. However, on Sunday, the P.A. and Cat Dad were nearly flooded again at work. The water was lapping up against the workshop doors when Cat Dad rushed up there early Sunday morning and got the pump working, and a few hours later, the car park and forecourt were clear—thank cod!
And now let's look at something really pretty! MOL
Luckily, some tulips survived at BBHQ. As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, we thought many of the bulbs had probably rotted over the winter due to the excess rain, but these bloomed beautifully.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Smooch, Melvyn and Fudge Waiting at The Door
This was the scene on Tuesday. Smooch, Melvyn and Fudge were waiting at the door. However, they weren't allowed outside as we were expecting a delivery of gravel to go down the side of the house in the new veggie garden. Yes, we're finally getting it done! MOL
Everything has been moved in preparation for the transformation to happen at the weekend, and we'll share some before and after pics when we're done. Did we say that we're really excited about it? MOL
Next up in the news
Smooch Did Get Outside
After the gravel delivery, Smooch did get outside, as he needed a little fresh air after all the prep for yesterday's wild cat rave.
If mew're wondering why there was no giveaway. The postage costs are just ridiculous, between £20 - £40 to send one goodie box overseas, and times that by six birthday pawties, it really ramps up. And as much as we love to do the giveaways, sadly we can't justify the shipping cost anymore. Sorry, blame the thieving Post Office for ruining all the fun.
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
It was a tie between the Lilac Flowers and White Cherry Blossom bandanas, so Melvyn chose this week's winner. Check out his videos below, and mew can watch him select the White Cherry Blossom.
And if mew can't watch the videos, here's the photo of him choosing.
He had a brand new move on the catwalk today, which was quite cute, and then he had to avoid a couple of furry obstacles, namely Parsley and Fudge! MOL
Check out Melvyn strutting his stuff on your preferred social media channel:
Which one should he model next?
Here's the brand new May collection.
The May Collection:
1. Lilac with Pink Flowers
2. Purple Flowers
3. Blue Butterfly
4. Dark Cherry Blossom
5. White Cherry Blossom
Leave a comment with your top pick for next week!
EXTRA, EXTRA!
Check out this week's sunspot of the week
Smooch found a purrfect spot in a pile of catmint.
Fudge was loving the warms in the catservatory.
Melvyn found a hotspot in the landing window.
And Parlsey found a sneaky warm spot in the courtyard!
Who do mew think had the best spot this week?
That's a wrap for us today, Amber will be back on Friday with another fab book just for mew and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:

The tulips are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteYou are all staying busy and in spite of the rain, it sounds like you are enjoying the garden as much as possible. The tulips are a delight.
ReplyDeleteMelvyn did a great job, I'd love the see the purple flowers next.
I wish you each your own sunpuddle!
We think Smooch found the purrfect sunspot because ... catnip + sun! :)
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are so pretty, and hooray for the gravel delivery. We are looking forward to seeing your photos! How about Blue Butterfly next, Melvyn?
Hugs!
With all this rain any sunspot is a good one! We had a good day yesterday and Ivor managed to cut the lawn with the strimmer (too wet for the machine). I woke up on the night to hear it bucketing down again, and when I opened the curtains this morning the lawn was under water.
ReplyDeleteI vote for #2 purple flowers.
We'll go for #1 on the next bandana pick. We're with you on the ridiculous cost of postage. We remember the good old days when we could gladly ship parcels overseas at a reasonable cost. Our #1 lives in France and each year, she hands over her Christmas post, boxes and all, to friends who come over from the UK, to take back and post domestically, It saves her a fortune!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
We are so furry glad to see you all out in the sun. Your PA has been so generous with lovely gifts around the world, she should not feel bad about discontinuing the plan. Cost of living is just too great and the giving needs to start at home. Lynn is going to get tulip bulbs this fall and put in a giant pot and see if they bloom fur her. With out the skweerls gittin' into the pot and eatin' the bulbs! Precious
ReplyDeleteLovely flower blooms and feline blooms!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is #4.
#3, the blue butterfly bandana. I think Smooch has the best sunspot, but all the sunspots are good.
ReplyDeleteLooking good Melvyn. I pick #1 for next week. Nice to see so many of you- you all found great spots. XO
ReplyDeleteMelvyn you look fab!!And I voted for Blue Butterfly or Dark Cherry blossom. Which ever you like best. Melvyn. I think Parsley found the best sunpuddle or maybe it may have been Smooch/
ReplyDeleteSmooch had the prettiest sunny spot, but everyone looked really content to be in sunshine! Gorgeous tulips, and I like Purple Flowers for next week!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so very pretty and I love the trio waiting at the door. Y'all are rockin' the good looks over there. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
