Furbulous Greetings, Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
Jumping juniper berries, it's been a wild week of weather at BBHQ. Last week, it was all blustery gusts, with the trees shedding no end of leaves—yes, another job for the P.A. to deal with shortly. We had a deluge of rain on Friday and Caturday, with more angry and horrendously hostile wind intent on blowing everything everywhere and making as much mess as possible in the garden.
And to say it was the last Bank Holiday weekend of the year, it was pretty lacklustre. Oh but the good news is that Cat Dad did get phase one of the new deck in place, do mew want to see? Of course mew do! MOL
This was the before shot when Cat Dad removed the old raised bed, dug out all the old soil, and prepared it for the new sleepers.
And a short while later, this is what it looked like.
This is a vast, immense, and epic improvement on the before shot. The P.A. thinks she's going to paint the fence black. Well, she has the black paint, so there's no thinking about it; she's just got to get the brush in her mitten and get cracked on.
When a little snipping and pruning has taken place, the deck will extend further to the left, but we are delighted with Phase One.
And just before we jump into this week's headlines, just look what was hopping around on the front lawn at Nanny's and Grampaws the other day.
Yep, this cute little almost white bunny. How adorable!
Nanny rang the neighbours and asked if they were missing said bunny, and the neighbour asked if Nanny had been drinking!!! MOL MOL
Luckily, the P.A. had taken a picture of the bunny, so Nanny sent it to the neighbours, who came back with, "Oh yes, we did have a white rabbit, but it escaped, and now its offspring is everywhere!"
Hence the off-white bunny.
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Parsley's Conjuring Up Fluff Knows What
Look at that laser focus he's got going off... we don't want to know.
Magic is a furry purrsonal thing, and whatever Parsley is conjuring is Parsley's business.
Unless it is a direct threat to The B Team, then it's everypawdy's business! MOL
Next up in the news
Fudge's Hissed Off
Fudge was quite hissed off because Smooch and Pandora were hanging out under the gazebo, and he wasn't.
Look at the indignation emanating from every whisker. Jeez, that's intense! MOL
However, no fluffs were given by either Smooch or Pandora.
Earlier, Fudge was waiting for his orange collar to be put on.
Mew see how patient he is?
And now mew know why he was hissed off because he didn't get to go outside as Cat Dad was prepping for the new deck, and a supurr fluffy orange blur around the garden, while things are being constructed, is not safe.
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
This week, Melvyn is modelling the last bandana for August.
He actually had the entire catwalk to himself this week. What a miracle! MOL
Fudge was snoozing upstairs on his favourite jumbo cat cushion. Parsley was outside stalking some unsuspecting leaf, blowing around in the courtyard under Smooch's watchful gaze. Pandora was in the catservatory up in the gods while Amber was snoring, sorry, snoozing rather loudly on the sofa.
Check out Melvyn strutting his stuff on your preferred social media channel:
What Does Melvyn Do After Modelling?
BBHQ's furry own supurr model is usually worn out after his weekly modelling gig, which is incredibly labour intensive for about four and a half minutes.
Yes, it really takes that long to walk up and down the catwalk three or four times and then take a couple of still shots.
After this monumentally intense and full-on four and a half minutes, he usually retires to one of three places.
The first is the bed.
And the second top spot is in his glamping tent.
And his third favourite spot is in the Love Shroom.
And if mew missed how we made this supurr cute cat retreat from a couple of cardboard boxes and a bit of fabric, click here to see the full post.
Which one should he model next?
That's us done for today. We'll be back again on Friday, so join us then, as mew know how much we love your company.

Mercy but between the weather, the building, and all the kitties doing kitty things, it's been busy there. Melvyn, you did a fabulous job and I'd enjoy seeing Owls next time, if possible.
