Pawesome Greetings Furbulous Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
It's been a rather interesting week at BBHQ, the weather as Pandora will tell mew, has been a little frenetic and wild.
But luckily, the high winds disappeared on Caturday morning, thank Cod as we were doing a spot of tree trimming, which Smooch will showmew in his story.
Then another storm started to blow it's way in on Sunday teatime, but luckily that too was gone by the small hours of Monday. We were also on flood watch from Thursday until Monday due to both storms and supurr luckily, there wasn't much rain. The P.A. and Cat Dad are so thankful, especially when all around the country and Ireland has been battered.
The P.A.'s older brother lives in Scotland near the west coast, and on Caturday teatime, when he went to feed the sheep on the glen, he walked around the side of the shed, and the wind blew him over, flat on his back - yes, he's ok - and he's a big dude, so that was SOME gust. He said it was really FIERCE, plus no end of trees came down, so he's probably still on chainsaw duty right now.
And then on Caturday night at BBHQ, the P.A. took this photo.
There's an alignment of all the planets happening right now for the first time in over 2000 years or something. Sadly as Mewton-Clawson is quite low down, and we don't have much of a view of anything really, this is what she managed to snap. It's not bad; there's quite a nice configuration happening if mew look.
And sadly, there's still not been any more U.F.O. U.A.P. activity. But we do have a theory as to why there's been so much activity with sightings of unexplained objects in the sky for the last few weeks, especially.
What if:
The U.F.O.s U.A.P.s are here to witness the planetary alignment? And while they've been waiting, our planet is the only one with life in our galaxy, so they've been buzzing around like tourists having a good look?
It's feasible, it's logical, what do mew think?
MOL!
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's headlines.
First up in the news
Smooch Checking the Aftermath of The Tree Trimming
This was Sunday morning, and Smooch was inspecting the garden after the fact.
Don't worry it all ended up on the bonfire.
Next up in the news
Fudge Is Up The Tree Again
Fudge was up the tree again on Purrsday, and he said, and I quote, "DO NOT TRIM MY FAVOURITE TREE!"
Don't worry, this is the P.A.'s favourite tree too, and woe betide anypawdy who goes near it with nefarious intentions of trimming! MOL
In other news...
Pandora's Fluffed Off
Pandora was terribly fluffed off on Friday afternoon; she really wanted to go into the garden, but the wind was so fierce that the P.A. banned all outside activities!
Finally this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
Finally, Melvyn got to wear the Owl at The Moon bandana!
This week's catwalk was a little chaotic, Melvyn had other things on his mind! W.D.G. is still nowhere to be found. However, we did receive a mystery postcard from The Bahamas. So maybe W.D.G. is enjoying a bit of sunshine; lucky him! MOL
Check out Melvyn's videos on your preferred social media channel:
Which one is your favourite this week?
Which one should he model next?
We did have to go back into the bandana archive to find this selection, as sadly, the P.A. didn't have time to make any new ones.
The February Valentine's Collection:
1. Multi-coloured hearts with lilac fringing
2. Red hearts with red fringing
3. White hearts with glitter ribbon
4. Red heart with red tassels
Tell us your top pick for next week in the comments!
That's us done for today. Amber will be back on Friday with another meowvellous book, and if mew missed any other posts, here are the links:
Parsley's Selfie
Check out the latest episodes of The Purrminator, as tomorrow we'll be back with Chapter Eleven in Melvyn's epically epic supurr exciting origin story:

Cool photos and the stars aligning! I'm glad the P.A.'s brother is okay. Y'all sure look fabulous. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThe theory on the UFO sounds good to me. It must have been scary for the PA's brother to get blown clean off his feet. I understand about Fudge and the PA having a favourite tree. Ivor wanted to do a major tidy up of the big old oak tree. It was always the boys favourite tree for climbing and Flynn nearly gave me a heart attack several times climbing right to the top and out onto small branches. I told Ivor in no uncertain terms that it was the boys tree and he was not to touch it, which he hasn't.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Melvyn wanted to change things up a bit for his catwalk. I vote for the red tassels.
Wow, lots of windy, wintry weather action! So glad the PA's brother is okay, whew! Interesting walk, Melvyn! We like #1, lilac with multi, for next week!
ReplyDeleteI think Melvyn had made his pick already, #2! And it's a wonder the sheep did not float off in that wind with their curly wool as sails! Still snow pack on the ground but January Thaw temps are here above freezing for a few days. Lynn is out fur a walk or two.
ReplyDeleteyoo all are trulee so cute!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll go with number 2 on the bandanas. It looks like you have been very busy outdoors, despite the awful weather. Here in France, we have mud everywhere! When will it ever stop raining?

ReplyDeleteI pick #3 to kick off February.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥
Red heart with red tassels!
ReplyDeleteWas out watching the planetary conga-line, but headed back inside because it was blistering COLD!
Ireland and Scotland got blasted by that storm; even some old castles lost bits due to the wind.
Fudge, I wish you wouldn't climb trees. I like all the bandanas so I can't pick one. XO
