We can't believe the weather; it's been supurr sunny again all week, though still cold at night, but even so, having the daily warms makes a huge difference, as normally, the weather this time of year can be vile and really, really cold! So we're feeling epically blessed and full of gratitude for oodles of sun spots around BBHQ!
The Cheeky Squirrel at Nanny's
And then last Thursday evening, while the P.A. was just about to switch the outside lights off, she noticed some plants in the garden border were moving. So she crept outside, as mew do late at night, and she heard loads of rustling, which she said sounded like miniature elephants trampling on everything! MOL
Anyhoo, she waited and watched, then finally look who appeared?
Food was quickly put in place so refuelling could take place after a long hibernation, and two bowls a night are being scoffed.
She thinks it's Bip Bip, Meep Meep or Nippy from last year. Then last night, in the middle of the night while the P.A. was on nighttime patrol, she spied another one, so who knows, the trifecta may appear in coming nights! MOL
We'll share more flower pics next week, as so many are blooming, so we'll have a colourful splash next week.
First up in the news this week...
Smooch Snoopervising The P.A.
Smooch really is getting his snoopervisor status happening. When he heard that the P.A. failed miserably to get Chapter Twenty One of The Purrminotr finished last week. On Monday, he took it upon himself to make sure that the P.A. sat at the computer and finished twenty one and twenty two, and he didn't move until they were done.
Every time, the P.A. said, "Dude, I just need to think about this for a minute!"
He replied. "Fluff no. Mew, just keep those fingers typing. I'll tell mew when mew're finished!"
So mew can thank Smooch for two chapters this week! MOL
Next up in the news...
Fudge Is On Pawtrol
Fudge is still feeling pretty hissed off about the catmint plants. If mew missed the story so far, click here to catch up.
So he's taken to patrolling the entire garden, checking on everything to see if there's any change! MOL
We can reveal that growth is still slow; however, with all the sunshine and a little bit of water, the plants will catch up in the next couple of weeks.
But in the meantime, we're going to, the P.A. is going to set some catnip seeds, and if mew have never grown catnip before, click here to read our definitive guide to growing your own!

And finally, this week
Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick
Last week, the most votes were for Blooming Marvellous, the number five pick. So here's Melvyn looking utterly epic!
Which one should he model next?

Check out the latest episodes of The Purrminator, as tomorrow, we'll be back with Chapter Twenty One in Melvyn's epically epic, supurr exciting origin story:
Look at all you sweeties! Hey, the crazy squirrel and the hedgehogs are really fun to see!
ReplyDeleteMercy but there is so much going on! I'm glad the hedgehogs are back and there's so much sunshine. It's nice of you to leave the tidying until you are sure the insects don't need the old growth any longer.
ReplyDeleteMelvyn, you did a great job, and so did Fudge in his patrolling and Smooch in his snoopervising. I'd love to see those balloons you've been waiting so long to show us.
Melvyn handsome model, try fur #2 next time. And the squirrels here ate thru the close line that carries 4 bird feeders. They hit the ground and 2 broke! So now a steel cable close line has been put up and we are waiting fur the dental bill when they break their teeth chewin' it. So cold here in the morns that Lynn uses a hammer to break ice in the deer trough. We luv all yer photos.
ReplyDeleteWow, spring all over! Hedgehogs, and good snoopervising by Smooch! We like #2 bandana, Spring Freshness, for Melvyn next week!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see the hedgehogs back! I choose Peony Perfection for next week.
ReplyDeleteDang, Smooch...what a tough guy!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for peonies.
