Obviously, we had to use a little wizardry and Photoshop ourselves bigger, as the size of the chalk horse is just astounding.* Mew would never have been able to see us!

Here's a little bit of info from BBHQ's Historical Travel Guide, Smooch:

Greetings to all the history aficionados and travel enthusiasts out there!

If mew're looking for a beautiful sight to see in Wiltshire, England, the Westbury White Horse is definitely worth checking out! It's a stunning chalk horse that was carved into the hillside of Westbury and is the oldest of its kind in the area dating back to the late 1600s. The horse measures an epic *180 feet long and 170 feet high, making it one of the largest hill figures in all of Britain. While nobody knows for certain where the horse came from, many believe that it was created to celebrate King George III's coronation in 1768. Originally outlined in yellow bricks, the horse was later replaced with white chalk in the early 1800s. Today, the Westbury White Horse continues to be a popular tourist attraction, and it's not hard to see why. Mew can spot it from miles around! A dedicated group of volunteers work hard to maintain the horse and keep it looking its best, and visitors are always welcome to hike up to it and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. If mew happen to be in the area, don't miss out on this amazing piece of history! It's sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Anyhoo, it's time for us to go snooze, as the weather has been awful, and no sunspots have been sighted for days!

Smooch is prepping for lunch and has told the P.A. that today she's got to make a new cheesecake, as he found a pawesome recipe in one of his cookery books by Mary Berry. We're just hoping the P.A. has all the ingredients. Otherwise, Smooch is going to throw a bit of a hissy fit! MOL

We hope you have an epic day and that mew will join us again in the morning for more epic brain training and the answer to last time's sudoku puzzle.

In the meantime, don't forget to...

We loved it, it was a sunny day and we took a picnic, and no mice were consumed during said picnic! MOL

Here's a little bit of info from BBHQ's Expert Travel Guide, Smooch:

Hello epic travellers!

Hey there! We just got back from an amazing trip to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, England. It was absolutely breathtaking! The towering cliffs and rugged landscape were so beautiful. We couldn't get enough of it! We had a blast exploring the many caves and caverns in the area. Did mew know that some of the oldest human remains in the UK can be found there? It was so interesting to learn about the history of the place and see how people have lived and worked in the caves over the centuries. For those who are more adventurous, there are plenty of activities to get your heart pumping. Outdoor activity centres in the area offer everything from rock climbing and abseiling to caving and mountain biking. Some of us even tried rock climbing, and it was such a rush, but don't ask Fudge about his floofy tail and the harness malfunction! MOL And let's not forget about the famous Cheddar cheese, mew know that means that there are loads of mice around! MOL Mew have to try it while mew're there, no not the mice, the cheese! MOL The nearby village of Cheddar has plenty of cheese shops and cafes where mew can sample and purrchase the best cheeses in the region. Amber purrchased a luxury cheese hampurr for the library mice as a summer surprise, but don't tell Parsley she used his credit card! MOL We highly recommend visiting Cheddar Gorge if mew're looking for a unique and exciting travel experience. It has something for everypawdy (mice included! MOL), whether mew're interested in history, outdoor activities, or just taking in some stunning natural scenery.

We're off to watch Smooch snoopervise the roast dinner, seriously he camps out earlier and earlier each week waiting for the oven to go on! MOL

After lunch we're planning on a rather sedate afternoon, if the weather is nice we're going to go into the garden and if it's raining we're going to get snuggled in the sitting room and watch an old movie with the P.A. and Dad.

We do hope mew have an epic day and do join us in the morning for the last Brain Training post of the current season.

Welcome to another BBHQ selfie selection, and this week our adventures took us north to Hadrian's Wall.

Luckily we got a nice sunny day, as it's been raining a lot this week at BBHQ. We had a supurr picnic, took a few snaps of this marvellous historical site and genreally had a totally pawesome time.

Here's a little bit of info from BBHQ's Expert Travel Guide, Smooch:

Hello epic travellers!

As we strolled along the olden path of Hadrian's Wall, we were completely amazed by the history that was all around us. This impressive structure was built by the Romans over 1900 years ago, and it stretches for miles across the breathtaking landscape of northern England. It's truly a testament to the incredible engineering skills of the ancient world. When mew visit Hadrian's Wall, one of the most striking things is its enormous size. The wall stands at over 6 feet tall in some places, made up of thousands of individual stones carefully put in place by Roman engineers. What's really cool is that much of the wall is still standing, and mew can explore sections of it on paw. As mew take in the stunning views of the rolling hills and countryside stretching out for miles, it's easy to feel like mew're stepping back in time. For all the history buffs out there, there are plenty of museums and visitor centres along the wall that offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the Roman soldiers who guarded this frontier, as well as the local tribes who lived in the area at the time.

The wall spans 73 miles across multiple sites across Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Northern England and mew can visit over twenty sites including Chesters Roman Fort, Housteads Roman Fort, Birdoswald Roman Fort and Corbridge Roman Town. Overall, visiting Hadrian's Wall is an unforgettable experience that gives mew a peek into a remarkable era of history. It's a must-see destination for anypawdy with even a passing interest in the ancient world!

Amber said, no fluffing way was she trying to get across, so she sat in a huff next to the TTTB! MOL

Here's a little bit of info from BBHQ's Expert Travel Guide, Smooch:

Hello epic travellers!

For anypawdy seeking a serene and paw-inspiring getaway from the hectic routine of daily life, the gorge of Dovedale in Derbyshire, in the southern Peak District is an absolute must-visit destination. The B Team and I had the pleasure of exploring this magnificent landscape, with its soaring limestone cliffs and crystalline waters of the River Dove.
One of the highlights of our adventure was crossing the renowned stepping stones that stretch across the river. It was a thrilling and unparalleled way to fully immerse in the area, feeling the refreshing water flow beneath my paws as we cautiously made our way across. The vistas from the stones were simply breathtaking, providing a distinct perspective of the gorge that is not to be missed. However, the stepping stones are merely a small portion of the numerous trails and paths that meander through the gorge of Dovedale. Each trail presents its own exclusive views of the landscape, with ample opportunities to paws and savour the gorgeous scenery or capture some stunning photos. As we traversed through the region, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to encounter such a stunning and serene place. If mew crave a connection with nature and seek an escape from the pressures of everyday life, the gorge of Dovedale is a hidden treasure that mew absolutely cannot afford to miss.

Smooch is waiting for the oven to go on, so he can begin snoopervising the lunch, as he missed out on his roast beef last week, so he is demanding double helpings today to make up for it!

Then, if it's nice weather, which the forecasters say it's going to be, I think a little jaunt around the garden is in order and then a really well-deserved siesta!

We do hope mew have an epic day, and we'll be back with another furbulous Brain Training post in the morning, and if mew missed Amber's last book review of the season, click here to enter her pawesome giveaway.
