HAPPY OCTOBER AND WELCOME TO THE SPOOKY SEASON!
This week we decided to visit another ancient stone circle as we had so much fun last week.
And after much deliberation, we decided to head southwest to the meautiful Cotswolds district.

As we took a leisurely walk through the serene and picturesque countryside of the Cotswolds, we were struck with a profound sense of awe and reverence as we approached the enigmatic and ancient Rollright Stones. We had a great day out!
And just before we pop off, mew know we visited Hadrian's Wall a few weeks ago, well some utter pork chop went and cut down a 300-year-old sycamore tree! Yep, they scrambled over hill and dale with chainsaws and slaughtered one of the most famous trees in the UK.
Seriously, what is wrong with people? If this is what modern folk do for kicks, sadly the world is doomed!

We're off to snoopervise in the garden, as this week the P.A. had had no time due to a report she's been writing, but hopefully, it'll be finished sometime this week, and life can return to normal. Well, normal for us, which is purrobably not furry normal at all! MOL
Smooch is waiting by the oven, he's even got a stopwatch now, so the P.A. has no excuses for cooking a late lunch. So cod help the P.A. if it's late today. And this afternoon could be the day that the catnip finally gets cropped, but we'll let mew for sure on Wednesday in the news round-up.

Does Stonehenge make a good cat tree?
ReplyDeleteThose Rollright Stones are very mysterious, indeed. We always look forward to your selfies, and love learning the background of the places you take them. Yes, we saw that some turnip cut down that tree. Terrible!
ReplyDeleteAlthough we have been to the Cotswolds many times I have never seen or heard of the Rollright Stones. We will most likely be heading that way next year before too many visitors arrive and will make a point of going to see them. Love that artsy effect, very dramatic!

I was in tears about tht tree. I hope they find who destroyed it. 300 years of heritage GONE!!!
