Furbulous Greetings Supurr Furiends
Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!
It's still been raining at BBHQ, in fact, we think it's been the wettest summer for years. But hey
ho, so it goes, mew can't have purrfect summer weather every year! MOL
We must show mew the catnip plant, it's coming along furbulously, and we keep sampling a leaf or two, well, mew have to test the product! MOL
And here is the new shed/barn door update.
The P.A. got lashings of wood preserve on them last week, and then she applied two coats of red undercoat, and this is what they looked like.
And on Monday she applied the first coat of the BBHQ signature red gloss.
It looks a bit patchy, though mew can't tell from the picture, however after another two coats it'll be fine. They will be applied on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then Cat Dad will hang them on Caturday. We can't wait to see them in situ!
And the old doors will be headed for a purrmanent retirement! MOL
Anyhoo, let's look at this week's top headlines.
First up in the news this week
Smooch, Pandora and Fudge - Two Out and One In
Smooch and Pandora were enjoying a little gazebo time when Fudge appeared at the patio doors and was quite hissed off that he wasn't outside too!
Pandora, Parsley and Smooch love the basket with the red wool rug and little heart cushion, they can spend hours snoozing here.
Next up in the news
Melvyn Posing In The BBHQ Office
Melvyn is determined not to lose his modelling edge, and he says this pose is called;
Carefree and Fluffy!
Yep, we have no words! MOL
Finally this week
Parsley Doing A Bit Of Birdwatching
And Parsely has taken up birdwatching, and occasionally (serial offender) nomming!
He's suddenly got a liking, rather too much for our taste, for harassing the bird population at BBHQ.
Not since Snowie departed has anypawdy been interested in the birds, but this year Parsely has flexed his pantherene claws five times in as many weeks. He's never been interested in the slightest previously, so we don't know what's flipped the switch, other than the birds tormenting him and calling him 'Soft Sauce, the biggest pussy in Mewton-Clawson!'
So our new nickname for him is Fannibal Hector, and Smooch keeps laughing as he asks, "Did mew have some fava beans and a nice chianti?"
We told Smooch to sleep with one eye open! MOL
That's us done for today. We'll be back tomorrow with a brand new Quick Cat Guide post and again on Friday, so do join us then, as mew know how much we love your company.

The P.A. has sure been busy. Love the photos gang but why the bird hunting all of a sudden? Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos (and the catnip and doors) are looking great. OUr fave this week is that pose by Melvyn. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
The doors are looking good! That is a great pose, Melvyn, Got to keep in tip top shape. If the birds are teasing you Parsley, they only have themselves to blame.
ReplyDeleteDear Parsley, I have been enjoying my patio and am keeping my eyes upward as the tiny hummingbirds come right in above me to the gladiolus. Lynn keeps one eye on me and one on the birdies. I'm not allowed to taste them. Lynn is looking fur-ward to seeing the new doors.
ReplyDeletePrecious
