Welcome to the BBHQ midweek news round-up!

It's been a rather interesting week at BBHQ, the weather as Pandora will tell mew, has been a little frenetic and wild.

But luckily, the high winds disappeared on Caturday morning, thank Cod as we were doing a spot of tree trimming, which Smooch will showmew in his story.

Then another storm started to blow it's way in on Sunday teatime, but luckily that too was gone by the small hours of Monday. We were also on flood watch from Thursday until Monday due to both storms and supurr luckily, there wasn't much rain. The P.A. and Cat Dad are so thankful, especially when all around the country and Ireland has been battered.

The P.A.'s older brother lives in Scotland near the west coast, and on Caturday teatime, when he went to feed the sheep on the glen, he walked around the side of the shed, and the wind blew him over, flat on his back - yes, he's ok - and he's a big dude, so that was SOME gust. He said it was really FIERCE, plus no end of trees came down, so he's probably still on chainsaw duty right now.

And then on Caturday night at BBHQ, the P.A. took this photo.

There's an alignment of all the planets happening right now for the first time in over 2000 years or something. Sadly as Mewton-Clawson is quite low down, and we don't have much of a view of anything really, this is what she managed to snap. It's not bad; there's quite a nice configuration happening if mew look.

And sadly, there's still not been any more U.F.O. U.A.P. activity. But we do have a theory as to why there's been so much activity with sightings of unexplained objects in the sky for the last few weeks, especially.

What if:

The U.F.O.s U.A.P.s are here to witness the planetary alignment? And while they've been waiting, our planet is the only one with life in our galaxy, so they've been buzzing around like tourists having a good look?

It's feasible, it's logical, what do mew think?

MOL!

This was Sunday morning, and Smooch was inspecting the garden after the fact.

Don't worry it all ended up on the bonfire.

Fudge was up the tree again on Purrsday, and he said, and I quote, "DO NOT TRIM MY FAVOURITE TREE!"

Don't worry, this is the P.A.'s favourite tree too, and woe betide anypawdy who goes near it with nefarious intentions of trimming! MOL

Pandora's Fluffed Off

Pandora was terribly fluffed off on Friday afternoon; she really wanted to go into the garden, but the wind was so fierce that the P.A. banned all outside activities!

Finally, Melvyn got to wear the Owl at The Moon bandana!

This week's catwalk was a little chaotic, Melvyn had other things on his mind!  W.D.G. is still nowhere to be found. However, we did receive a mystery postcard from The Bahamas. So maybe W.D.G. is enjoying a bit of sunshine; lucky him! MOL

Talk about a blast from the past, this photo is from way, way back in April 2009.

I remember this so well. I'd been mousing in the bonfire heap late at night, and yes, it was cold at the time, and I came back home covered in ash and soot and was utterly filthy. In fact, I never ever got that filthy again! MOL

And no, I didn't get the mouse. The sneaky little fluffer got away.

This was also from 2009, July the 7th. The P.A. couldn't understand why the little cypress trees along the lawn border were going brown and dying.

1. I am so not looking forward to winter. I always find this time of year rather sad, as the nights are drawing in, and that means one thing is on the way.

2. The lemon cheesecake I made the other week is surprisingly delicious. I've never been a fan of cheesecake, but that would for want of a better expression was, epically epic! 

3. I need a welcome sign at my front door that says _________. Yeah, that's not going to work because Fudge has other ideas.

4. I would sacrifice the courtyard garden, if it meant that I could have a swim spa. I've wanted one for ages, but cat dad say NO! LOL As apparently it's just something else to maintain and clean.

Welcome to The BBHQ Midweek News Round-Up ~ Who's Turned Into A Complaining Karen, The Case of Missing Catnip Cushion and Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick **PLUS** EXTRA, EXTRA!

Supurr Wednesday Greetings Pawesome Furiends

Welcome to our weekly news round-up!

What a week, it was Bonfire Night on Caturday; normally we post but this year for some reason we didn't. 

Anyhoo, guess what happened?

Some complete fluffing fluffer went and set fire to a customer's vehicle in the car park at the P.A.'s work. Yep, they clambered over a brambled-infested dyke, climbed over a six-foot fence with a barbed wire top, lost a sock in the process, then they proceeded to the vehicle and poured an accelerant down the driver's window and door and chucked a match at it.

Luckily one of the P.A.'s cousins was driving by, saw the flamage and rang the fire brigade. Dad had to hot-foot it to the garage at 9pm. 

There was another expensive 4X4 parked next to the flaming one, which has also sustained minor damage to the driverside door handles, door trim and wing mirror. We say minor at first glance it's approx 4K's worth of damage before it's assessed.

The police came and are investigating it, but they aren't hopeful about catching anypurrdy, as the purrpetrator crawled along the back of the vehicle in the dark out of view of the CCTV cameras. So this has turned out to be a very expensive week thanks to some completely selfish twerp who decided to burn out a lovely 4X4.

Luckily,  it was in the side compound with the other one because they were both recovered vehicles that were non-running, so the good news is that they weren't in the back compound near fifteen other 4X4s. So we are extremely thankful for that small mercy, and we are also thankful it had rained that day because the trees next to the vehicle could have caught on fire and then set the actual garage ablaze, so we are eternally grateful for that too.

We think that whoever set fire to the vehicle thought they'd get away with it because it was Bonfire night, ie; a rogue firework set it alight. And now we are stuck with the bill for one completely destroyed 4X4 and one partially damaged one. This will severely impact the insurance policy/future premiums just for some fluffing fluffer being a total twerp.

We just hope karma is keeping tabs.

Who's Turned Into A Complaining Karen

Just look at that face, mew know it's got a purroblem and a big one at that! MOL

We don't know what has got Pandora's boggle, but she did mention that she was writing to Parsley to express some pent-up pet peeves which were popping up all around her this week.

Fudge did try to mansplain to her about the eclipse on last night's full moon, and how the planetary alignments were not conducive to being harmonious or zen for that matter. 

In other words, the zen harmonies are being disrupted by a really fluffed-up cosmic event. The full moon with an eclipse in Taurus will be challenging for most earth dwellers. In fact, the P.A. has the most horrible migraine right now; she usually gets headaches around the full moon, but this one is next level.

Anyhoo, this is the advice Fudge gave Pandora: take a breath, count to however many numbers mew need to calm down and think before mew speak. Ride out the next few days avoiding confrontation, grumpy/bad-tempered beings and remember it'll all be ok.

The Case of The Missing Catnip Cushion

Furstly, Smooch is pleading the 5th, even though such a thing doesn't exist in the UK, nevertheless, he is taking that option! MOL

Isn't it hilarious how catnip can bring out the worst in cats?

What started off a fun afternoon sampling some new catnip cushions, ended up in said cushions mysteriously disappearing without a trace and very conveniently nopawdy knew anything about said disappearances. 

Now, the photographic evidence in Exhibit A above clearly depicts a heinous crime of deception and subterfuge happening right under our furry noses, yet Smooch still denies any involvement. 

Therefore, a request was broadcasted to all B Team memfurs to return said catnip cushions within 24 hours without any re-purrcushions, pardon the pun.

We'll let mew know on next week's news if they were returned.

Finally this week

Melvyn's Modelling The Top Bandana Pick

It was a close vote, but the Mystical Unicorn bandana won by one! MOL

Melvyn was eager to get on the catwalk at BBHQ again, even though Fudge decided to photobomb proceedings again!
