Pet Peeves with Parsley #19 ~ What's Your Boggle This Week? Jumpin' Jeepers Fudge is Well and Truly Peeved

Many greetings pawesome pals

Parsley here *waves paw* and welcome to

Pet Peeves With Parsley

OH MY COD!  Do mew remember last time I was here, and Smooch got right up in my grill with his severely bugged boggle?  Well things just escalated as Fudge found out that Smooch has his new gig **Smooch Around The Wulrd ~ Coming Soon** and now he wants one too!

I found this memo pinned to my desk in the bunker on Thursday morning:

Oh heck, we've got a rebellion on our paws right now, I thought.

So I went to find Basil who was in his private office and showed him the memo.

"Look!" I said passing it across the desk to Basil. "And he used all capitals in bold, and see how many exclamation marks too? That's a serious offur use of punctuation!"

He read it, paused fur a while then said, "Hmmmmmm, these youngsters always want fly before they shoot!"

"I concur," I said sagely.

"But I suppose we could give him the chance to explore his creative identity when we're not saving the wurld," Basil mewsed thoughtfully.

"That's definitely a pawsibility to explore," I replied helping myself to a few nip-fizz jellybeans from the jar on Basil's desk and thinking to myself, it might actually keep him out of trouble too!

We sat in silence fur a spell, popping the nip-fizz jellybeans into our mouths with gusto and much flourish while we pondered the possibilities of our youngest heathen recruit being grown-up enough to take responsibility and have his furry own post.

Basil got up and went to the drinks cabinet and poured us both a rather stiff niptini with a splash of lime and a cherry on the side. He said as he gave me the drink, "Mew know it might keep him out of trouble if we let him have his own post."

I began to smirk and fought hard to keep my laughter at bay. "D'ya think?"

Basil nodded. "Oh yeah, that one has far too much time on his paws, giving him this will save no end of future accidents and/or incidents in the bunker!"

"Great call Basil!" I grinned widely at him.

He took a gulp of his niptini and said. "Yeah dude, and I've got the purrfect gig just fur him and he can start this Caturday!"

"Really!" I was still grinning. "Do tell me more?"

"Sauce buddy, I'd love to tell mew but'll it'll ruin the surprise!" Basil was really laughing by now, mew know the type of laugh; wildly infectious and with a little bit of wickness.

OH MY COD What Has Fudge Got Himself Into Now?

Find out on Caturday!

Inside Selfies on The Sunday Selfies

Supurr Sunday greetings fabulous furriends

Welcome to another selfie selection and today...

...our theme is:

Inside Selfies

Why inside selfies we hear mew ask... well yesterday when we were just about to start our selfie shoot it began to rain - Woo Hooo, our rain dance finally wurked! MOL

Oh and Parsley sends many apologies fur not being here yesterday, there was a bit of drama on Thursday and Friday, nothing serious but we just ran out of time to post, and Fudge was well peeved as he'd sent a memo to Parsley complaining as Smooch did the time before, so we'll try to post that on Monday or Tuesday instead.

And finally today...

Momma Kat and Bear won the space cat leggings from Pandora's post last week - WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO many congratulations guys, we'll get those posted to mew stat!

Well it's time fur us to pop off, so we'll wish mew all a fantastic day and hopefully see mew on the morrow when we'll be back with either Parsley's Pet Peeves or our latest Crafting with Cats post

Until then...

A Big Announcement, The Paddling Pool & Our Summer Block Buster on the Pet Parade Blog Hop No: 258 ~ Hosted by Rascal & Rocco Co-Hosted by Basil & Barking from the Bayou

Pawesome Friday Greetings Furriends

Welcome to the Pet Parade and our weekly news round up!

Furstly let's get on with the big announcement, a few of mew will know that a couple of weeks ago the P.A. posted in a FB cat blogger group that The Pet Parade needed a new main host as Rascal & Rocco are taking a bit of time off, and rather than let the Pet Parade slip into the oblivion of deepest, darkest space the P.A. asked if anyone would like to come on-board and be the main host.

AND The Dash Kitten Crew said they'd love to be the main host, as of next Friday Marjorie and the pawesome Dash Kitten Crew will be our new main hosts, how exciting is that? Epically exciting fur sure, thank mew Marjorie fur joining the PP team!

We'd like to say a furry speshal thank mew to Leah with Rascal and Rocco fur hosting the PP all these years and asking us to be a co-host way, way back in 2014, guys mew're pawesome and we do hope mew enjoy your blogging break but know we are looking forward to your return to the blog'o'sphere in the future.

So there'll be a few changes to the PP in coming weeks, and we're all supurr excited to continue Rascal & Rocco's legacy and keep the tradition going, so we hope that mew'll all stick with us here at BB HQ, The Dash Kitten Crew and Barking from the Bayou as mew know how much we love your company!

It's still supurr scorchio here and today we've got temperatures of 33+ Celsius, it's so humid and feels likes there's no air.  In fact the P.A. is waiting fur delivery on a paddling pool fur herself and dad because it's just too hot now, and the old pool they had sprung a leak a few years ago and had to go get recycled into something new.

Eric and Flynn's fabulous Mum asked if we could take a few of the puzzles off the Puzzle Page - link below - as it's loading a little slow!  Yes we can indeed and we will take several off this weekend, and thank mew furry much fur bringing that to our attention, it was greatly appreciated. So if mew haven't had chance to do them, don't panic, they'll all still be at Jigsaw Planet and we'll put the direct link at the top of the page when we modify it in the next day or so.

In other news, we're busy writing our latest epically epic Summer Bock Buster fur mew and hopefully if all goes to plan we'll start sharing the furst part of that in the second week of August. The format might be a little different from previous ones as at the moment I don't think there'll be as many pictures due to the P.A. being beyond swamped at wurk - yep mew know what I said to that don't mew - this is exactly what I said. "I can't believe mew're so selfish that mew're going to deprive our pawesome readers of pictures!"

She said. "Basil, I am very sorry about that and will endeavour to do what I can at the time!"

REALLY!????? PFFFFFFFFFFFT

I can see we're going have to get some new staff again! MOL  And on that note, let's get our best bib and tucker on and ready to join in The Pet Parade!

and if mew're still bored get our free colouring books below:

Parsley will be here tomorrow with another Pet Peeves post and then we'll be back with our usual selfie selection on Sunday, so hope mew can join us then, in the meantime we wish mew all an epic weekend

Bestest purrs and big hugs

Welcome To Our Third Gardening with Cats! Make A Crystal Fairy Garden & Top Planting Tips

Welcome to

Happy Wednesday fabulous furriends

Now mew may be wundering why we weren't here on Monday, well we hit a bit of a snag on Sunday when we were just about to start making today's fairy garden.  We had effurything but the pot, now the P.A. was convinced she had a spare one under the carport, but the only thing she found was a broken pot - so yes she did have one but sadly not in the condition she thought and as it was past 4pm the local garden centre was closed and that's why we're late.

So anyhoo, this week we're going to show mew how to make a fairy garden and we've been meaning to do this post fur years, long before we even thought of Gardening with Cats.

We know a lot of peeps today live in flats/apartments and have no gardens at all, so this is a purrfect way of bringing a garden to those that don't have one but have always wanted one. And fur those that do have gardens, balconies or terraces this will look so cute outdoors, though we wouldn't leave it out year round.

Now the size of pot mew use is entirely dependent on mew, as mew can go as big as mew want, or just have one small pot or even a series of different sized pots that are linked together by bridges, tree trunks [branches or twigs] etc.. mew can have as much fun and be as crazy as mew like when making these.

What Mew Will Need:

Plant pot or similar

A selection of plants

Crystals and a few pieces of slate or stone/gravel

Organic compost + optional gloves when handling

Fairy house

and cute small stuff - we bought ours from Amazon - just type fairy garden in the search bar to get lots of options.

**Top Tip**

Health & Safety Always Comes Furst at BB HQ

Keep small objects away from curious paws & claws and also remember that this is not fur younger children/toddlers who may want to disassemble your hard wurk in seconds, as they won't be able to help themselves - it's their nature, and also there's a pawsible choking hazard too - so purrlease keep a close watch on small hoomans with little or no life experience under their belts, and with an aching desire to put most things they touch in their mouths!

And the same goes fur kittens and younger cats who may be enthralled with your creation and decide to nom on it. Remember that this is not a cat toy and the small bits and pieces are a hazard.

Our fairy garden is placed out of reach of all the aforementioned, just to be on the safe side.

Are mew ready to get started? of course mew are! MOL

Here's the pot we bought to replace the broken one, and we chose 2 alpines that will have a plethora of gorgeous white flowers when they get going.

**Top Tip**

Before planting, make sure mew water the plants thoroughly

1.  Put a few stones or slate in the bottom of your pot to assist with drainage.

2.  Place a small amount of compost in the pot and then add your plants where mew want them.

3.  Fill with more soil until your plants are nicely firmed in and then water.

4.  When mew're ready, place your newly potted plants on a table - now our table is a scrub-top one in the craft room so we neffur put anything on there to protect it, but if mew're using your kitchen/dining or other indoor table purrlease make sure mew use either newspaper, cardboard or similar to protect the finish.

5.  The fun part... get all your fairy garden things ready to place. Our fairy house was actually bought from a second-hand store/charity shop, so it's always an idea to check those stores as the treasure mew can find sometimes is quite fabulous.

6.  As mew can see we placed our trees in the 'hills' and put the bridge them between so the fairies don't have to struggle to get home aftur a hard days graft! MOL

7. Next we added a few pieces of slate to make a path to the bridge and then on to the house.

8.  We placed the house on one side, atop the slate, though it was too wobbly so instead we cut a piece of fake grass to fit and put the house on that.

9.  Then we added the magical shrooms over the hills and built up the front of the pot with more slate and the crystals. Plus we used a couple of lamp posts, a post box, the picket fence, the sign and the two little cats are actually 1/2th scale from the P.A.'s Dolls House that she still hasn't finished.

10. And there mew have it...

11.  Do mew think the fairies will like it?

It took less than 20 minutes from start to finish, so it's a fab little garden project if mew're short on time.

Mew can also make this without real plants; use fake plants, furget the compost and fill your pot with gravel and then add all your fairy decorations and then mew can glue effurything in place.

As we said earlier, we wouldn't leave it out year round, we will purrobably put ours under the garden port fur the winter months and water periodically.

>^.^<

On the last GwC post the pawesome Tabbies of Trout Towne gave us this top tip fur watering:

pleez ta tell
de PA if her wantz nother waterin eye dea; get a few gallon containerz like
de kind waterz, jooze, milk etc comez in....N her can fill em with de H2O
de day bee for N let it getz ta room temp for de next waterin cycle

Dudes and Miss Dai$y, that is one epically epic top tip, thanks so much fur sharing *Paw Bump* mew guys rock!

Weather Update:

It's still supurr hot - in fact epically scorchio here in Mewton-Clawson and on Monday the mercury tipped 33 Celsius or 91.4 Fahrenheit. We had a bit of rainfall fur about 3 hours on Friday evening so our extended rain dance with all the bells and whistles did wurk, howeffur there's no more rain due on the horizon fur the foreseeable future and this hotness is going to continue through August too. But at least the water butts got topped up a little.

Well that sadly brings us to the end of another Gardening with Cats, we do hope mew enjoyed it and do let us know if mew decide to make your own Crystal Fairy Garden. If mew missed our previous Gardening with Cats posts, here they are:

Grow Your Own Greens

Purretty Flower Ladder

We'll be back on Friday with The Pet Parade and a speshal announcement so we do hope mew can join us again, and there'll a new puzzle on the 'Puzzle Page' tomorrow to keep mew entertained in the meantime...

Until then

Welcome To Our 8 Things About... Post And Today It's All About Humphrey

Welcome to

WOO HOO pawesome furriends

Welcome to another our third:- 8 Things About...

8 Things About WHAT though?! we hear mew ask.  Well fabulous furriends it could be 8 things about anything, but today it's all about...

8 Things About Humphrey

A lot of our regular readers know that our older fursib furry sadly departed fur the Rainbow Bridge in April 2017 along with our beautiful sisfur Snowie, but that doesn't mean that they still don't come visit us from time to time on the blog, and they'll both be here fur our 2018 Summer Blockbuster Adventure, so stay tuned as we'll be sharing that in August.

Anyhoo, let's get started and tell mew stuff about Humphrey that mew probably neffur knew...

1.  Humphrey was rather an amewsing kitty, and would often do the funniest things. Years ago and I'm talking way, way back in 2006/7 he was being purrticularly boisterous one evening as the P.A. was unpacking the grocery shopping, and he was rolling on all the plastic shopping bags on the kitchen table. The next second something spooked him and he bolted, and he unwittingly had his head through one of the plastic bag handles.

The plastic bag opened up like a parachute behind him as he zoomed around the house wundering why a plastic bag was hot on his heels. The P.A. was also zooming around the house to try and catch him to remove the bag - from my vantage point it was hilarious! Though Humphrey and the P.A. funnily enough did quite see what was so hysterical - mew had to be an observer.  But that brings me to one fact that mew won't know, that aftur that incident he was called Bagman fur rather a long time! MOL

2. In March 2106 Humphrey was the Garden Overlord, so he was the original Gardening with Cats Pin Up.

3.  He was also furry sneaky and would often hang out and just spy on effuryone. A purrfect example is below!

4.   Before we officially became the The B Team Humphrey had spent many years as an inventor and had a secret lab in the shed, which is now Amber's Library.  In 2012 construction began on the secret bunker and he moved his lab into there, thus making Amber furry happy that the P.A. could now convert the shed fur her library.  Though Humphrey was the furst B Team kitty effur to do a book review way back in May 2016 but Amber soon put paid to that and decided that the book review slot was hers and promptly told Humphrey that he'd been supurrceded! MOL

5.  In August 2014 Humphrey was being all small, dark and mysterious on the cover of People Magazine, and he's lapping up that headline: 100 Most Beautiful People - Summers Hottest Bachelors!

  "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!" Humphrey agreed.

6.  As part of The B Team Humphrey brings a lot of weight to the table, even in his now non-corporeal form [wait until mew see what he invented while at the Rainbow Bridge, it'll blow your fur off!]  Anyhoo his code name was/is Purredator 1 [Parsley is Purredator 2] and the things he can do is truly staggering, fur instance on one of our missions [which has been declassified now, so I can tell mew] we were in the jungle hunting down a horde of rebel boars that were terrorising the locals, Humphrey being a bit of a lone-cat back in the day, headed off ahead as the solo scouting pawty and by the time the rest of us caught up he'd - all by himself - caught 5 of the boars and the other 3 had ran [ we did get them later] and he said in his drawl. "Dude, they didn't stand a chance and let me tell mew they are as boring as fluff!" MOL MOL

7.  This is one of our fav pics of the big dude...

8.  In June 2016 Humphrey insisted on wearing his tweed flat-cap and then turned into Mr Grumpy because he dropped his ice cream on his newspaper, he ended up sulking in the beach-hut all afternoon.

As Humphrey got into his mid/late teens [70-80 in hooman years] he did become a bit of grumpy old cat and favoured tweed caps, white socks and sandals in the summer months especially when we were headed fur a day out and he generally had an air of grumpiness unless we were headed out on a covert mission in which case he was all business and weapons!

We still miss him terribly and Snowie and Posie too, and we really look forward to when they all visit from the Rainbow Realm.

And that sadly brings us to the end of 8 Things About Humphrey... we do hope mew enjoyed getting to learn more about our older brofur, he really was a character and a half!

There will be a new jigsaw on the puzzle page fur mew tomorrow just in case mew feel a need to while a few minutes away until our next post.

And if mew missed our previous 8 Things About posts, here's the links:

Oh, if mew're wundering why our scheduled Gardening with Cats isn't here today, we hit a bit of snag on Sunday when we were getting it ready, so we'll be posting that on Wednesday instead and all will be revealed including the snag! MOL

Thanks effur so much fur visiting today
